Organ Competition 2022

The IAO/RCO Organ Playing Competition 2022 took place during this year’s IAO Festival in Edinburgh, at St Cuthbert’s Church.

There were five finalists and the prize-winners were as follows:

• Charles Francis (Birmingham), 1st prize
• Jonas Schauer (Leipzig), 2nd prize
• Ashley Wagner (Birmingham), 3rd prize

The adjudicators were David Hill (RCO President), John Kitchen (IAO President) and composer & recitalist Naji Hakim.

The IAO is grateful for the sponsorship of the first prize by many of its affiliated associations & societies, and for Aspire Classical Organs contributing funds for the second & third prizes.
