Our Organ Festival based in York attracted a total of over 100 IAO members & other organ enthusiasts during five days at the end of July 2024.
Highlights included a recital in York Minster by Director of Music (and IAO President) Robert Sharpe, the Festival Dinner when over 70 diners gathered in the historic Merchant Adventurers’ Hall, a coach trip to Beverley Minster and Bridlington Priory, a recital of Renaissance msuic by a capella vocal group Ex Corde and the final of the IAO/RCO organ competition in York Minster, with first prize going to Timothy Stewart, a student at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire.
